WHEN WE MEET

Youth Group:

Each meeting has a supervised activity or a brief faith-based lesson including stories, scripture, sharing and prayer. Most evenings conclude with a craft or game, snacks and or gym-time with other youth and adults. The student to leader ratio is approximately 2:1.

Twice a month on Sundays

4:00-5:30pm
Gym and LL Youth Room 
 

VISION AND PURPOSE

NUMC Special Needs Youth Ministry is dedicated to providing community for young adults with special needs to connect with one another in a safe, fun, and faith-based environment.

WHO WE ARE AND HOW WE GOT STARTED

​This Ministry began in January 2011 with the belief that every teenager, including those with special needs, face the challenge of ‘fitting in’. A new ministry was born out of the passion that every youth in our congregation should have the opportunity to participate and belong in the life of the church. A group was created as a place where special needs teens would be able to celebrate what makes them unique.
