We know one hour of worship can seem like an eternity to an 8-yr-old. Red canvas bags can be found hanging from a coat rack on the left just as you enter the Sanctuary. These bags are stocked with activities, notebooks and crayons for students in grades 1 to 3. Children are welcome to use these during worship services and then return them to the coat rack at the end of the service.
Devotionals
Daily devotional booklets are provided for Advent and Lent, offering Scripture and prayer to enrich these holy seasons for each individual in our congregation. Sometimes, but not always, these booklets are accompanied by small group discussions.
Library
Newburgh UMC has an amazing lending library located in room G9. We have thousands of books for children, youth and adults. You can find non-fiction and fiction from some of your favorite Christian authors, old and new. We also have studies that you can check out for your small groups and we have DVDs and CDs for your own enjoyment at home. You really have to stop by and see it for yourself.
